The SolVe Mount uses a 28mm diamond core to create a precise opening in the tile or 'working area' to access the rafter. Our expansion seal expands when compressed, pressing outwards on the walls of the core hole and expanding beyond, creating a permanent watertight barrier. Forces are channeled directly to the rafter, ensuring the tile itself carries no load.
What makes Rosemary tiles special: Rosemary tiles have a textured, handcrafted look with subtle variations in shape and colour. This creates a beautiful, natural appearance that's highly valued on heritage and period properties but it makes for an often frustrating solar installation. The SolVe Mount allows for installation without disturbing or removing any Rosemary tiles. The minimally invasive process means less tiles are damaged, fewer delays. Ensures the mount can never flex into tile below resulting in call backs.
Installation approach: Like other clay tiles, Rosemary tiles require adjustment to raise the seal height. Pre-assemble the SolVe Mounts > 28mm Diamond Core through the tiles > Fix the Mount, making any adjustment needed to raise the seal height to 30-35mm above the Rosemary tiles. Pre set the remaining Mounts. Tighten the nut to compress and expand the seal.

DRILL - Pre-drill using the drill guide provided.
FIX - Screw in the fully assembled SolVe Mount. Raise the seal height for Rosemary tiles, tighten the nut to compress and expand the seal.
DONE - Your MCS certified, IPX8 rated Rosemary tile roof mount is complete.
